Welcome to another edition of Pop Fashion! This week in hot topics - Rick Owens showed his latest collection in Paris and left little to the imagination. (Three words: male model nudity.) Retail continues to crumble with the closing of SkyMall and Piperlime, a reality show sends fashion bloggers to Cambodian sweatshops, and Elle magazine sues a designer with the first name Elle. Also, fashion is becoming more lucrative in India as consumers in cities and villages turn to e-commerce. Our main topic is about external validation. How do we stop caring about what other people think? Lisa and Kaarin look at social media, evolution, and internal core strength as a means to understand and overcome the continual need for approval.
